 Amanda O is the "it" girl of the moment: an acclaimed telenovela
actress, an admired pop diva and the paparazzo's favorite target.
Addicted to cameras, and mostly to her own image, Amanda records her
every move with her personal camera, continuously documenting her
success, immortalizing herself as an icon.
Although she
dislikes it, Amanda is used to having her personal life splattered all
over the tabloids with lies about her published daily. However, one
damaging accusation will soon drive her over the edge.
Accused
of being a thief, Amanda is besieged by reporters at an award ceremony,
demanding her explanation to the accusation. The distraught Amanda runs
away, wishing she was anyone or anywhere else.
The next day,
Amanda wakes up bruised and battered in an unfamiliar place. Confused
and disoriented, she suddenly sees something that shakes her to the
core: another woman's face is gazing at her from posters promoting her
latest telenovela…
Amanda tries to find her way out of this
place and bumps into Dante, a mysterious man, who will soon become her
only source of support. Amanda goes back home, but no one, not even her
husband, knows who she is; another woman has robbed her of her
identity, her life, her career and even her name.
Her
relationship with Dante, whose identity is no less baffling, is stormy,
but he nevertheless puts her up and gives her work. She decides to
reclaim her life, against all odds.
Not having any identity,
she uses cyberspace to create one. She will do almost anything and
everything to ignite the media's attention and win back the attention
of her fans. She blogs, uploads funny videos of herself and is
virtually reborn in the web through her videos, in which she reveals
her most inner secrets.
On
her journey to repossess her identity, Amanda will change dramatically
as she will have to fight long and hard to retrieve all that was taken
away from her. She will also fall in love with Dante, who has helped
her along the way and has proven to be her unexpected savior.
