Brennan is helped by her colleagues at the Jeffersonian Institute:
Angela Montenegro (portrayed by Michaela Conlin), Dr. Jack Hodgins
(portrayed by T. J. Thyne) and, until the end of Season Three, Dr. Zack
Addy (portrayed by Eric Millegan). While she specializes in forensic
facial reconstruction, Angela is also Brennan's best friend and has a
contrasting personality to Brennan's social awkwardness. Hodgins is an
entomologist and an expert on spores and minerals, and is also
fascinated by conspiracy theories. His skills allow the team to
approximate the time, and often the location (e.g., if the remains were
moved post mortem), of death of the victims. At the beginning of the
series, Zack was Brennan's graduate student and assistant at the
Jeffersonian. In the second season, after he received his doctorate in
forensic anthropology, he was hired as a forensic anthropologist. His
character is similar to Brennan in that he finds it difficult to relate
to an average person.

Trivia
In the pilot, Temperance says the next closest forensic anthropologist after her is in Montreal, where the original novels are set.
Temperance Brennan is an anthropologist who writes about the character Kathy Reichs in her spare time. In real life, Kathy Reichs is an anthropologist who writes about the character Temperance Brennan.
Almost every time Booth, played by David Boreanaz, is in front of the camera he has on him a watch, his FBI ID, a holstered sidearm, a Zippo lighter, Craps dice, a $100 poker chip, a floaty pen (they type where a girls clothes fall off when you turn it upside down), 3x5inch index cards, his light brown sunglasses, and he is wearing a St. Christopher medal. All of these items can be spotted being handled by Booth throughout the series.
Angela Montenegro's middle name is "Pearly Gates" which is the name of a guitar belonging to ZZ Top member Billy Gibbons, who plays Angela's father in some episodes.
Eric Millegan, who plays Dr. Zack Addy, a grad student younger than the other scientists, is actually one year older than T.J. Thyne, who plays Dr. Jack Hodgins, two years older than Emily Deschanel, who plays Dr. Temperance Brennen, his teacher, and four years older than Michaela Conlin, who plays Angela Montenegro.
Up to season 3, Special Agent Seeley Booth has handled a Glock 17, a Magnum .357, a Dual-Toned Glock 17, and a Kimber .45 handgun with a tactical flashlight attachment, along with a Colt .22 back up weapon. While Doctor Temperance Brennan has handled a Colt .22 in 'The Pilot' where she shot a suspect as well as on several occasions to back Agent Booth, a very large Smith and Wesson .500 Revolver in season 3, and Booth's Kimber .45 when she shot Booth's stalker.
T.J. Thyne appeared in 3 episodes on the final season (2003) of "Angel" (1999), which starred "Bones" co-star David Boreanaz.
