 This is the story of two cousins: Cecilia and Carolina. There is a conflict between the two because of a man: Jose Beltran, who is the secret love of Carolina. Jose searches for mines to get rich. One day Carolina decides to break off her affair with Jose, and he suicides. After his death, Guillermo, a cousin of Josè arrives in the city. He believes that it was Cecilia who was liable of his death and he wants to take a revenge on her. Guillermo decides to marry Cecilia in order to make her life a hell and he wants to kill her.
