Daniel Linares' life is not going well. First his adored grandfather
dies and no one in his family bothers to call him to the old man's
bedside. In fact, he discovers he's been cut from the will entirely.
His actress girlfriend, Barbara, is having an affair with her leading
man. And to top it all off, his helicopter crashes while he is on his
way to visit the ranch that his grandfather left to his cruel and
brutish brother, Italo. Bruised and dazed, he is found by a poor
peasant girl, Milagros, who is not having such good life herself. She
had just been kicked off the ranch by Italo along with her blind
sister, her dying mother and her other sister's baby in arms. Despite
her own problems, Milagros helps Daniel find his way to safety. Their
paths separate but soon cross again when Milagros turns up as a servant
in the house of Daniel's two-timing girlfriend.
