During a holiday in the Greek Islands, Nora meets dashing Freddy, a
playboy with whom she enjoys a romantic affair. Knowing that after the
holiday is over, they are to return to their everyday existence, they
promise to meet each other in New York, one year later. When that day
arrives, both go to the appointed place, but Nora has an accident on
her way there, and she loses her sight. Tired of waiting for her,
Freddy assumes she forgot all about him and returns to his life in the
fast lane. They meet a while later, and although Nora feigns she can
see, Freddy learns the truth. Overcome with remorse, he decides to go
back to medical school so he can learn a way to heal the woman he loves.
