The rich ranchero Alejandro Valdecasas remains widow with two children, Eduardo and Catalina: the first is uncontrollable and rebel, the second is generous and shy. Don Alejandro meets the little German. German informs Don Alejandro of wallet larceny and he recovers it. Touched by his courage and honesty, Don Alejandro brings German to his house. He becomes a deep friend of Catalina, but with Edu they become rivals immediately.
The years pass, Don Alejandro dies and German and Catalina are in love,
but Eduardo still hates German from jealousy and Caralampio, the
administrator of the factory "La Seiba", persecutes him. Then German is
courted by Blanca and Isabel. Catalina is courted by Daniel who is
Blanca's brother. For a set of circumstances, Catalina marries Daniel
and German becomes the owner of "La Seiba", he marries Blanca but both
don't have love. In reality German is Alina's son, a member of a gypsy
tribe and he reconcile with her and Aurelia puts him as a chief of the
tribe. Isabel is pregnant and she tries to ruin German. Then Blanca
kills her brother by accident, but German is accused and arrested
unjustly. Blanca together with Berta try to poison Catalina. German
escapes from prison and Caralampio together with others hunt for him.
In a dramatic final Caralampio dies trying to kill him. Eduardo
transforms and Blanca will suicide. After two years "La Seiba" will be
a holiday for the couple.
