Maria, an honest and hard-working young pharmacist, was almost raped by her boss Adolfo Klein. After this incident she quits her job and starts working at the pesticide factory of Jaime Dumas, the Adolfo's friend and partner. Jaime tries hard to seduce her. What Maria doesn't know is that her new boss (as well as previous) is a criminal and Mafiosi. She falls in love with a young ecologist Gerardo, but the circumstances draw them apart.
