Rafael Medina is a very busy guy who does many things in one day; he sells different stuff such as perfume, linen, wine etc. He can hardly make ends meet for himself but he also helps his mother (Leonor) and his sister (Julieta) whose study he pays for. As he is always in a hurry it is inevitable that sooner or later an accident happens to him. To his misfortune this accident happened with Alexandra Alvarez Del Castillo an executive of the company selling cars, who is about to marry Marco Valenzuela. The result of this misfortune is that they become enemies.
Well, as there are consequences in life, Rafael will has to fight them. His future will be in hands of Alexandra. He becomes a prey and has to pay for his mistake.
Even worse, they are two against one and Marco, who has affection and approval not only of Alexandra, his girlfriend, but of his family. Seeing their lives frustrated, he uses the law and tries to destroy Rafael’s life. In his grief he will be revealing his dual life and complicity with Mr. Vicente Chavez, his right arm in the course of the embargo on the Finance, owned by Alvarez del Castillo.
Raphael trying to overcome his problems decides to ask support of father of Vicky – a girl that he has affair with and whose nickname is “Butterfly”. The doubt was only about the fact that he could dare to strangle him. Moreover, he kept in fear his two brothers and his stepfather the wealthy butcher in the neighborhood.
Even with support of his friend James - law clerk, one after the other doors close before him and he comes to Alexandra. At first she treats him cynically and puts in his place, but after analyzing the situation, decides to make an exception and give him a chance to repay his debt. Rafael accepts this challenge and his ordeal begins: the new boss demands very high sales from the new member in the car dealership, he also has to compete fiercely with his new colleagues which constantly hold him to mockery.
After some months of working together and with some circumstances, Raphael and Alejandra realize that they developed a strong emotional dependence.
