This is the story of Raquel Rivas Cantu, a young orphan heiress brought up by her governess Mariana, who secretly hates her. Raquel will marry Pablo, an honest widower with a daughter Carmen. They will also have a daughter together, Gaby. But Pablo will die in the middle of the story. Carmen and Gaby meet in college, where Gaby is sent after she is kidnapped by Mariana's order. The girls don't know they are half sisters. Then there is Maximiliano, a chief of a newspaper, who will marry Gaby. The black souls of novela are Mariana and her son Felipe, the ambitious rebel. Raquel will find the happiness with Victor after many unexpected events.
