Felipe and Mariana have always loved each other, but in their previous lives (in 1810, 1948). But their love stories always finished tragically. The destiny joins them again in 2005, in Mexico City. Felipe is now a young professor, unhappily married, with a son and of course with a lover. His wife convinces him to visit a physiatrist, who turns out to be Mariana, the woman whom he constantly sees in his dreams and nightmares! The story develops mainly at the present time and returns back to their previous existences through Felipe's dreams and hypnosis. Eventually they will discover their "true" stories and all the truth about the people surrounding them, so they can gather both halves of the sun.
