Ana Maria and her cousin Isabel meet two young men: Guillermo and
Alberto. Both fall in love with Ana Maria but she prefers Alberto. They
get married with Alberto's father opposition. He succeeds in annulling
their marriage and forces Alberto to marry Giuliana. Ana Maria is very
ill: she has a heart disease and she is pregnant, then she asks Isabel
to bring her son to Alberto. Giuliana and Alberto raise up the little
Julia with their daughter, Evelina. They tell everybody that they are
twins. Then Ana Maria recovers the health and she tries to recover her
daughter as well, but Alberto and family went to Europe. Then Ana Maria
meets and marries a famous pianist, Claudio. They go to Europe looking
for Alberto but without results. They return to Mexico and Ana Maria
meets Alberto again. She will have to discover who of the "twins" is
her real daughter.
