Santa is the queen of a brothel managed by Elvira in XIX century.
Federico Gamboa is a novelist who asks Santa to tell him her story. She
was born a little province, Chimalistac, and she grew up with her
family happily. Then Santa was seduced, abandoned and left pregnant by
a passing soldier and her family repudiated her. Then she lost her
child and became a prostitute. In the brothel she made friends with La
gaditana and Hipolito, a blind pianist. Then Santa met the torero
Jarameno who fell in love with her and wanted to marry her, but she
didn't want to. Then she asks Hipolito to save her and she will die
from cancer...
