Farscape tv seriesAstronaut John Crichton's "Farscape-1" space module is swallowed by a wormhole and spat out on the other side of the universe into the middle of a space battle. Taken on board "Moya", a huge bio-mechanoid living ship, desperately trying to escape Peacekeeper captivity. On board Moya is a group of alien fugitives trying to escape from the ruthless Peacekeepers, a local military regime. While managing to escape the immediate threat, John Crichton forms friendships with the prisoners and continues to look for a way home.

But later a race of beings called, "The Ancients" implanted knowledge about the power of wormholes in his mind and this knowledge makes him a wanted man throught the Uncharted Territories. Now, John and his crewmates are on the run from ruthless alien races that want his knowledge so they can make wormhole weapons to take over the universe. Despite all that happens to him, despite his friendships and relationships with the crew, at the end of the day he wants to get home to Earth. This 2-hour TV pilot was later divided into episodes 1 and 3 of Farscape the series.

Moya is invaded by some creatures. They increase the heat on Moya, and they're creating replicas of the crew. Peacekeeper cannot stand heat, Aeryn starts to suffer Heat Delirium. The crew must figure who is real and who is a replica, and shut down the heat. They must also contend with a Peacekeeper squad that's searching for Crichton.

Rygel is captured and held for ransom by some bounty hunters. Rygel "borrowed" a crystal from Moya, without the crystal Moya cannot maintain her orbit and will crash into the planet if it isn't returned shortly.

The show faced the very real threat of cancellation halfway through its first season when its production location, Fox Studios Australia, "forced" them out to make way for another production: Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002). The logistical problems of moving the large and expensive sets to a Stateside location would have been too cost-prohibitive. Fortunately, another studio was found nearby that was able to house the production (at Homebush), and the series was renewed for a second season.

Crichton calls the Scorpius clone that resides in his mind "Harvey", after the invisible rabbit in the classic James Stewart film, Harvey (1950). The name was suggested by a fan website.

Ben Browder's wife, Francesca Buller, has played three different guest starring roles to date on Farscape (M'Lee in "Bone to Be Wild", Ro-Na in "Look at the Princess" and Raxil in "Scratch 'n' Sniff"), all three as antagonists to John Crichton. In the Fourth Season, she came back again as War Minister Akhna, another antagonist.

Lani John Tupu, who appears regularly as Captain Crais, also provides the voice of Pilot.

Even though Crichton looks like Peacekeeper, he should be recognized as an alien species because he is speaking another language (English) and in spite of the Translator Microbes, his lips would not be synchronized with the translation.

New Amsterdam
John Amsterdam, a brilliant NYPD homicide detective is immortal. He is 400 years old, but his body structure is that of a 35-year-old. Amsterdam was a Dutch soldier in the year 1642 when he stepped in front of a sword to save the life of a Native American girl during a massacre of her tribe. The girl in turn rescued Amsterdam by weaving an ancient spell that conferred immortality upon him. It was also prophesied that he would not age until he finds his one true love, and only then will he become whole and ready for mortality.
